There is an aesthetic beauty to photography that I find hard to describe with words - I think that's why I am drawn to it. As my friends would attest, I am rarely at a loss for words, so with photography I find a certain quietude that penetrates my whole being. When I see a photo I like, whether it is my own or one of the hundreds I peruse through every day, there is a surge of energy that electrifies my senses and draws a broad smile across my face.
My personal work tends to be portraits and landscapes and travel photography when I can. Professionally, I shoot stock and commercial work that has been used online and in print across the globe.
Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania - working towards a degree in Historic Preservation.
A limited edition book of my photography from the last four years is available from the self-publishing company Blurb.com. I will be publishing a larger, coffee-table sized, book of just South East Asia in the near future.
If you are interested in stock photography, give
iStock a shot. They are a subsidiary of Getty images and taken separately are the second largest stock agency in the world. Not only is it an excellent source of stock imagery, but also of simply fantastic photography.
